We present a conceptual proposal for a tennis court cover that integrates functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. The main objective is twofold: to provide a protected space for sports, regardless of weather conditions, and to implement a photovoltaic solar energy generation system that contributes to the energy efficiency of the complex.
The cover, more than just a protective structure, becomes an emblematic architectural element, designed with the help of cutting-edge technology. The design process has been driven by advanced computational tools, including parametric modeling and energy performance simulation. This has allowed us to optimize the geometry of the cover not only for adequate protection against the elements but also to maximize the capture of solar radiation.
The organic and fluid form of the cover is the result of an algorithm that integrates variables such as solar trajectory, structural loads, and aerodynamics. The use of finite element analysis software allowed us to refine the structure, minimizing the use of materials and ensuring stability. The surface of the cover houses state-of-the-art flexible photovoltaic solar panels, adapting to the curves and maximizing the collection surface.
